He is the only surgeon in Abu Dhabi performing trans-anal microsurgery and bottom-up rectal resection. He is an associate professor of surgery at the UAE University Faculty of Medicine.
His expertise is dedicated to colon diagnosis and treatment from preoperative to postoperative care. He also has considerable experience in laparoscopic colorectal cancer resections.
He specializes in evaluating and treating benign colorectal disorders such as colon polyps, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis, diverticular disease, anal problems, and motility problems of the colon.
He also has long surgical experience in inflammatory bowel disease, mainly Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. He has performed numerous laparoscopic bowel resections for patients with Crohn’s disease and many restorative proctocolectomies.

Sarcomas
Because sarcomas are rare, it is important to find physicians who have experience with this disease. Dr. Haytham has a special interest in rare malignancies (GIST, NETS) and soft tissue sarcomas.
He works as the Chief of Surgery, and Surgical Oncology, Tawam Hospital UAE. The General Surgery board of Hungary certifies him as well as the General Medical Council of the UK.
He is involved in diagnosis and management of cases like Liposarcoma, Fibrosarcoma, Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans, Rhabdomyosarcomas, Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma, Leiomyosarcoma (Smooth Muscle Tumor), Myxoma, and all Kaposi’s sarcoma patient groups (including organ transplant or AIDS patients) by taking biopsies.
